FROM LA PAZ AIRPORT:
Drive out of airport and turn right, you will be on Hwy 1 heading toward La Paz. When you get to the
whale tail monument turn right and you will be on Blvd Las Garzas (also called Blvd Agustin Olachea)
Follow it to the first stoplight where you will turn right on Blvd Luis D. Colosio. Continue out of La
Paz and it turns into Hwy 286 to SJ de Los Planes. You will know you are on the right road when you pass
the Pepsi and Coca Cola bottling plants. The road heads up the mountains then drops into the Los Planes valley,
where you will have your first view of La Ventana bay. In about half an hour from La Paz you'll see a paved
road on the left that is signed El Sargento. Turn there and drive for about 7 km to the village of La Ventana.
Keep an eye to the left for a glaring pink house that will be your signal to turn right onto a dirt road at the
big cactus. Drive about 150 feet and you will see a pink rock wall and a board sign for Ventana Windsports.
FROM LOS CABOS:
After leaving the airport, go over the overpass and circle to the right and you will be heading North on Hwy 1.
You will drive through the towns of Los Barriles, San Bartolo, and arrive at San Antonio. From there you can
either take a 22km (13.5 mi) dirt road that turns off to the right about 100 yards past the gas station or
continue on to Hwy 286 SJ de Los Planes in La Paz. If you take the dirt road you'll cut about 45 minutes off
your trip. The road is fine for two-wheel drive vehicles but has a washboard surface which makes for a bit of a
bumpy ride. When the dirt road ends you turn left toward La Paz and drive a short distance until you see a large
roadside shrine at which you turn right going toward El Sargento/La Ventana. Follow directions above.
